About Awaride

A safer, smarter, more affordable way for Nigerians to move.

Awaride is a community-powered carpooling platform built to solve Nigeria’s biggest commuting challenges — overcrowded public transport, rising fuel costs, unsafe rides, and the high prices of ride-hailing apps like Uber and Bolt.

Born in 2025, Awaride was created by everyday Nigerians who were tired of spending hours in traffic, squeezing into crowded buses, or paying surge prices just to move a few kilometers. We understand the daily struggle because we’ve lived it — from Lagos go-slows to Abuja gridlock.

Our mission

Make commuting safer, cheaper, and more comfortable for millions of Nigerians.

Awaride connects verified drivers who have spare seats with passengers heading along the same bus-stop routes. By sharing rides, passengers save money, drivers reduce fuel costs, and everyone enjoys a safer, more predictable commute.

Built with reliable technology that works smoothly even on low-end smartphones and low networks, Awaride is designed for real Nigerian conditions — not a foreign model forced into our cities.
